Festival.

It is now held annually from Wednesday through Saturday in mid-September. In 1978, Governor James Thompson declared Morton the “Pumpkin Capital of the World.”

This year the theme for the parade seemed to be “Super Hero’s”. The children all sat on the sidewalk waiting eagerly for the parade to start. The school bands marched away and they were awesome. There were balloons distributed to all the kids and the so many flying in the air the bright sky covered in yellow balloons looked pretty. People in the parade threw candy every, and the kids ran for it. The Pumpkin parade was an experience….

Last Weekend in Chicago

Summer Block Party


As the summer nears its end the office had its block party it was huge spread for lunch with the Burgers and Hotdogs. But we also had channa and samosa ;-) After lunch there were some games that the office people played. Its a game where you have sand bags and you throw them on a board and try to get them into the hole..... It was a fun day at the office

GOAN - AMERICAN PARTY!!

The next day I went to the mall and then in the evening for a party with Olavo and his family. Met so many goan there it was like being back in goa.. everyone asking in the same goan way "Are this persons sons, wifes, sisters someone!!!" :-) but hey if you are a goan you are a goan no complains about it. It was really nice with all the goan food and goan people

DEVON

The next day was a Monday Labour day so a holiday so we went to 'Devon' - it’s the Indian street. And my oh my was i amazed it has everything the salwars the jewellery and anything that’s Indian is there but triple times the price. But what was most amazing was the paan spitting side walks that were present only on this street.. Nobody would even feel that they are in Chicago. Did you see the poster of Sharuk Khan !!!!

WEEKEND WITH THE FAMILY

Waited anxiously for this weekend my aunt and uncle drove in from Canada. We had a great time we went to Wilberts house for the weekend we saw the beaches by the Lake. It was beautiful clear waters... It was an awesome time.

THE WORKING GIRL!!! WOOHOOO

Hey well I know its been a long time and you all have missed me :-) but life in Bangalore without the “INTERNET” well its like living in a totally different world.. But I got it now so now its going to be bloggggging ….

But enough of that lets just catch up. :-)

Well I’m a working girl now living the daily routine... Get up on Monday and count the number of days left for the next weekend that’s life...But still I enjoy work it feels good to be earning your own bread as they say but when the month end comes and the money no longer there in the bank account well frankly that’s when you wish that daddy’s money was still around :-)

When I got into a project well I was worried how would it be how was the new PM??? Well I must say that I got the best project. I got a team that was just swell.. We worked hard but we always had fun at work. Going to work was something I looked forward to. Team has changed now some moved on some of us still around and some new members have joined but I must say life is still as fun.

So here a picture of my team.. Two of which have left Mamatha and Jasmeet who are truly missed. Pradeep and Janitha who have moved out (Sorry Pradeep was not there when the pic was taken) and lalit a new joinee who also not in the picture. That’s my TEAM and I’m proud to be a part of it…. So long for now and will be back with new posts and new snaps for everyone to see…

Monday night was dinner and a walk on the beach ,it might sound like a boring night …. But I just say it was wonderful night!!!! All in all the weekend was suuperbbbbb….. it was lovely ….







And just when I thought that was the end… the next weekend Lyell was in goa.. .. so it was back to dinner out with friends it was a candle light dinner at tangerine(since there was no electricity)... and a long night of talking talking … secrets , gossip… hehehe… finally since it was getting late and we all had to attend mass on Sunday we decided to hit the bed ...
Sunday after mass Gary and Heidi came over and we spent the whole day with them…,Gary being less than a year old and heidi 5.. played with the baby the whole day and read lots of stories to Heidi particularly remember "CHEEKY TEDDY GOES TO THE FARM" and if you wonder why well try reading the same story to a kid seven times… u won’t even have to read it you’ll know it by heart….but hey it was fun so I not complaining…

Was sad to see my sister go on Monday back to mysore for her training but its ok since I will meet her when I go to banglore.. just 3 more weekends and I’ll be gone…. So while I’m in goa… "I CAN"T WAIT FOR THE WEEKEND TO BEGIN"…….

I CANT WAIT FOR THE WEEKEND TO BEGIN

Well the weekends are always the best and loads fun…. I had a real good time the last two weekends… now it was “Independence day”.. a great day, hence a long weekend for everyone to come home and party… so on 12th of august we all decided to head north and dance dance!!!! but hey before that we went for dinner ….Ate to our hearts content and then carried on and finally landed up at mambos… pretty late though …some where around 2.30 … (due to some circumstances that could not be avoided)…. DJ nikhil and Dj pearl were playing…

There was a huge crowd and man was it hot.. and when I say hot I am talking about the temperature.. not in any other sense before you let your mind wander.. and some of the crowd was a little weird but its ok we had a big group of friends so we had a good time…

We left the place finally when the dj played his last track.. truly a fun fun time…

PARTY AT OZONE

Lets all go to the CLUB

Well I love to dance … and where better to dance than at a club on a Saturday night.. So when Ryle and Liane were in goa and Jose also had come the weekend , we got Analiz, Tassia and Caetano and we went partying.. Nigel agreed to meet us in panjim for the night out.. But first we decided to go for the GRAPE ESCAPADE it was a wine tasting festival at Inox.. so we dropped in and drank some wine!!! And when everyone was in a happy mood we went to Ozone …

now ozone is a club at the marriots ... i love when there is Retro playing.. the whole atmosphere is really nice and i always enjoy myself .... but the company always makes it the best..

there was not really a huge crowd that night..but i had fun dancing with everyone around.. i love partying....and as someone told me Partying and dancing is a kind of high by itself!!!

HANGING OUT

Bread n More….. its our hang out.. its where we just sit for hours on end.. Now u may ask what’s so good about the place.. Well the food’s normal nothing that great( except the chocolate croissant that Nigel just loves) … But I love the place cause its where I hang out with my friends and that’s what makes the place so much nicer!!!!


Now the daily visitors are Analiz and me, we are there almost every evening.. Now don’t judge we got lots to talk about !!!!.. Tassia also joins us on these outings but since she stays a little far she may miss out on a few trips.. and Nassh well when she does make it she is like our GUEST OF HONOUR cause that day we don’t talk we listen to all the stories she been waiting to tell us.. it’s a total blast.. As a matter of fact she told me that she can’t wait to come meet us and have the ice tea!!! Hehehehe…



Then our other faithful visitor to bread and more is Nigel!! Well there is a bread n more in Panjim yet he comes all the way to Margao to hang out with us at bread n more in margao.. so u c it’s the company that’s the most important even more than food… well mmmmm …. Should I rethink this after all it is Nigel.. and if you all really KNOW him you will understand why I say this…. (Hehehe kidding Nigel.. )



Its fun to go to bread and more and see the different people come and go.. it so happens that in the evenings there are lot of 11th or 12th standard students hanging around… and its so amusing … they always cursing …some are busy flirting … now u may think I’m eavesdropping but that’s not true .. They are LOUD!!!!!

BREAD N MORE

Well I would first like to apologize for not updating my blog for so very long!!! But it could not be helped holidays started and I just don’t seem to find the time. Now this might bring you to the conclusion that I must be very busy… but that’s not true either I’m just being lazy.. What do I do every evening well hang out at BREAD N MORE… yeah almost every evening I’m chilling with Analiz or Tassia or someone .. but hey its loads of fun…

Recently Ashwin came down from Bombay so I was at Bread n More well everyday and sometimes morning and evening but you must understand that in the rains there are not many other places in Margao that you can hang out … Neway so all of us got together.. Roma ,Tassia, Nigel and Louella…Ashwin always makes me laugh there never a dull moment when he around..




BnM is also where everyone came to say bye to Chinmay since he was leaving for his job in Bombay.. It was a rainy day and poor Sneha got wet coming to say BYE… Its sad that now everyone will be leaving but hey at least we got all these Memories …..
